Special Post Alert
Okay everybody out there in the blogger world...that includes any blog stalkers that I may have...this is a very special post and I want you listen up, or should I say read up. I'd like you to meet my friend Erin's cousin Julia and her husband Brett. (I actually blog stalk them all the time!)

They have been married for 6 years now, and have been wanting to be parents for almost as long. Right now they are trying to adopt, and so far haven't been blessed with a baby...they're trying to get the word out to as many people as possible. So, if you know of someone, or know of someone who may know someone, tell them you found the perfect family for a little baby to be loved in, to be snuggled, to be played with, to grow up in, with the best mom and dad a kid could ask for. I know they are going to be the best parents ever! They have so much love to give, and lots and lots of hugs and kisses. This means so much more to me now that Josh's sister and brother in law have been able to adopt. They are so happy and grateful for their new little boy. So if you know anyone considering adoption please pass Julia and Brett's information along:

apparently I am Italian now...
My name has been botched in every way possible my whole life- I've gotten everything under the sun, and thought I had heard everything. I got a fax with this on it today.

It's from one of my kids social workers. I have left numerous voice mails for this lady and sent a fax to first, with my name on the cover sheet and in other multiple locations. Seriously. How hard is it?!

WE DID IT!
We finished our half-marathon on Saturday- it is such a relief that it's over! Josh has been sick and I wasn't feeling my best either- especially since I was so nervous the night before that I barely got any sleep!
At the start line- (we are the ones looking back) it was so exciting! It looked like the rain was holding off- but it pretty much rained the entire race. We were soaked at the end!
We are still so sore today- every muscle aches! I would like to do another one- but I think that we have to train totally differently next time. More strength training to get us through that second half I think. Anyway- we are happy it's over and our Saturday's wont be taken up by long runs anymore- at least not for a couple months...until we register for another one :)

SICK
so josh has been sick all week- like home sick from work, laid up, can't breathe, sore throat, etc and I am right behind him. I had to work yesterday, but I was nauseous all day, achy and my skin even hurt. We are both feeling a little better today, but are both taking the day off of work just in case. This does not look promising for our race tomorrow. We both only ran once this week- and our carb loading meal we were supposed to eat last night, just didn't happen because neither of us had an appetite. And it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Soooo... I am trying to be positive. We have worked so hard for this thing, I don't want it to be a bust! We need some serious prayers people.
